Organizational Communication

Have you ever tried to motivate a team to work hard and meet the deadline? Or tried to solve a conflict in a work team? Or wondered what aspects of an organization help with the prevention of accidents and failures? As a student in Organizational Communication, you will learn to become mindful communicators, systems thinkers, and problem solvers on the human side of organizations. You learn how to solve conflicts, prevent accidents, execute organization-wide research, diagnose and solve challenges to fulfill the organizational mission.

You will take courses in Organizational Communication, Consulting, Organizational Accidents and High Reliability, Small Group Communication, Intercultural Communication, Training and Development, Health Communication, Meaning of Work, Diversity, and Research in Organizational Culture.

Preparing You For Success

The Organizational Communication students at Bradley regularly present their undergraduate research at the annual Student Research Expo.

In your Org Com classes you will meet guest speakers from Caterpillar, Inc., Peoria International Airport, OSF Saint Francis Hospital, CGN Global, Peoria Emergency Management, Peoria Fire, Peoria Public Health, among others.
