Distance Learner Student Scholarship Expo
What is the Student Scholarship Expo?
Bradley University's Student Scholarship Expo (on-campus) and Distance Learner Scholarship Expo (virtual) annually showcases undergraduate and graduate student research, scholarship, and creative work across a wide range of academic disciplines. Distance Learners present their scholarly projects through posters and give 5 to 10-minute virtual presentations to a panel of volunteer judges from Bradley and the surrounding community. Judges assess presentation skills, poster organization, and the ability to communicate effectively with a general audience. Awards are given to the top poster presentations at the Expo.
Why should students participate?
Students who have participated in the Expo in the past have highlighted several key benefits: (1) the opportunity to present their work to judges from outside their familiar Bradley community; (2) the chance to practice and refine their presentation skills, especially for a general audience; (3) the ability to explore the work of students from other disciplines and colleges; (4) the recognition of their efforts in a university-wide event attended by the President, Provost, College Deans, and senior leaders from local businesses and organizations; and (5) the opportunity to compete for monetary awards that recognize outstanding presentations in each discipline.
