The marketing major gives you skills to work with customers, businesses and your community.
Preparing You For Success
Marketing courses give you a foundation in research and communication tools that help you engage people and organizations. You can customize the degree to your career interests by adding a concentration in global supply chain management, professional sales or social media marketing. As part of the degree, you complete a semester-long research project for a local business or nonprofit organization.
By the time you graduate, your experiences may include:
- Professional development and networking through Bradley’s American Marketing Association Chapter, APICS and the National Retail Federation Student Association
- Opportunities to compete in the National Collegiate Sales Competition, the NRF Student challenge case competition and other national events
- Internships with advertising agencies, businesses, nonprofits, retail companies, sports teams or trade groups
Making Your Mark
Marketing majors are valued in market analysis, product and brand management, professional sales, product development, consulting, consumer research and advertising. In recent years, almost all marketing majors found jobs within six months of graduation. They’re working at places such as Amazon, ConAgra Foods, VMware, Pepsico, 3M, Maui Jim and McAfee.

Additional Requirements
- A maximum of 3 credit hours of 100-200 level marketing courses toward the 24 semester hours in marketing.
- A minimum of 9 semester hours of marketing courses beyond MTG 315 in residence.
Students must obtain a minimum grade average of "C" in their marketing courses, as well as complete university and college requirements.
Students must also complete Foster College's business core.
