Health Insurance


Bradley University Offers PPO and QHDHP options for Health Insurance Coverage. Coverage begins on the first of the month following the date of hire. Open Enrollment is in early November For Qualifying Events contact HR within 31 days of the event for changes/enrollment.

Flexible Spending Account


The flexible spending account is an annually elected plan for pre-tax dollar contributions to pay for eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses and/or dependent care. Open Enrollment for this benefit is in early November.

Life Insurance


Basic Life Insurance is available on a contributory basis with the University paying two-thirds of the total premium for each full-time employee. Employees also have an opportunity to buy additional Voluntary Life Insurance. Coverage is effective on the first of the month following the date of employment.

Long Term Care


Long-term care is a variety of services which help meet both the medical and non-medical needs of people with a chronic illness or disability who cannot care for themselves for long periods. As an employee, you may purchase coverage during your first 31 days of employment through Unum without an EOI, when choosing benefits that do not exceed the Guarantee Issue limits. This benefit is available for employees and family members.

Long Term Disability


Long-term disability insurance (LTD) is an insurance policy that protects an employee from loss of income in the event that he or she is unable to work due to illness, injury, or accident for a long period of time. Employee eligibility occurs after 1 year of continuous service at Bradley or if a new full-time employees joins immediately within three months of leaving another group total disability insurance plan (proof of coverage required).
