Biography

I have been an exhibiting artist since 2002, with artworks in collection in the US and Asia. My teaching career has included all ages from preschool to college level. I began teaching drawing and 2D design at Bradley in 2019.

I enjoy walking my dog, camping, and watching my son play baseball. I also carry a 220 average in bowling. In my younger days I played drums and guitar in a few bands, and so I know my way around recording studios and stages.

Teaching

I've mostly taught 2D design, but I also instruct in Drawing and Art Appreciation. I prefer my classes to be open ended and exploratory, while also making sure students have a solid foundation of artistic skills that will be needed in more advanced and professional settings.

Scholarship

My most recent solo exhibition was at the Foster Gallery in downtown Peoria in 2022.

Service

I have served as gallery coordinator at Methodist College back in 2019. Before moving to Peoria, while I lived in San Francisco I led a project to replace and redesign a mural for Laurel Hill Nursery School that had been destroyed by vandalism.
