Whitney's studio practice involves painting and engagement with the more-than-human world. Her work centers around hope for a habitable future through material use, transformation, and environmental concerns. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in central Illinois. Whitney has recently participated in a residency program with Project 1612 in Peoria, and exhibited work with the artist-run curatorial project Lease Agreement. She teaches Drawing at Bradley University, Art Appreciation at Illinois Central College, and Painting and Drawing at the Peoria Art Guild.V
