Faculty Handbook's Statement on Committee Membership

The Shared Governance Committee of the Senate shall consist of three tenured faculty members. Members shall be nominated and elected by and from the full-time faculty. Members shall be elected for staggered terms of five years. If a vacancy occurs prior to the completion of a term, the Senate EC shall appoint a replacement member to complete that term. The members may not serve on the Tenure, Promotion and Dismissal Committee, the Faculty Grievance Committee or as Faculty Ombuds simultaneously.
