Community Advisory Alert - July 10, 2024

UPDATE

We have an update to a previous Community Advisory Alert concerning a robbery that occurred near the Bradley campus May 10, approximately five blocks west of N. University Street and three blocks south of W. Main Street.

During the course of the investigation into this incident, BUPD officers identified ten juvenile suspects. Each juvenile has now been arrested and released to a parent or guardian. No additional suspects are being sought. The incident occurred during a basketball game at an off campus playground near the intersection of W. Fredonia Avenue and N. Glenwood Avenue.

None of the people involved are affiliated with Bradley University. Due to the age of the suspects, no additional suspect information will be released. BUPD thanks the Peoria Public Schools Department of School Safety for their assistance.

On March 15, at approximately 7:13 a.m., Bradley University Police responded to a reported hate crime in the 1300 block of W. Fredonia Avenue.

Upon investigation, on March 15, 2024 between the hours of approximately 3:45 a.m. and 4:22 a.m., a suspect spray-painted graffiti at various campus locations. The crime appears to be motivated by bias directed toward a religious group. 

BUPD takes this crime extremely seriously, and asks for your assistance in identifying the suspect in this video. Attached are still pictures of the suspect. 

There is no imminent threat to campus.

An investigation is continuing. 

A Campus Safety Alert is issued via email when a Clery Act crime occurs within Bradley University's Clery Act geography but does not require immediate action by recipients.
