Biography

John Steffen holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Springfield. He began his career as an application developer in the private sector before joining Bradley University in 2011 as a programmer and data analyst. Over the years, John honed his data management skills and gained valuable institutional knowledge, which led to his transition to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness when it was established in 2018.

As Assistant Director of Institutional Effectiveness, John is responsible for managing Student Records reporting in collaboration with the Registrar's Office. He plays an active role on the Data Governance Committee and serves on a Higher Learning Commission (HLC) sub-committee.

Currently, John is pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Data Science at Bradley University, with an expected graduation date of December 2025.
