Bradley Vice President for DEI Appointed to National Board

Bradley University’s Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Dr. Warren R. Anderson, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education (NADOHE). NADOHE is the nation’s leading voice for scholarship, practice, and standards for diversity in the higher education community.

As Bradley’s chief diversity officer, Anderson has established the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which includes the Office of Inclusive Excellence, Office of Campus Culture and Climate, Office of Title IX Equity and Compliance, and developed the University’s first ever Women’s Center and LGBTQ+ Kaleidoscope Center. He has also introduced a faculty fellows’ initiative, DEI Student Badge Initiative (DEI certificate), and worked to increase the retention rate for African-American male students by over 20%. Additionally, Anderson and Bradley University, were one of only 20 higher education institutions selected to participate in the Institute on Digital Equity with the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U).

As we work to combat the continuous efforts to dismantle DEI on college and university campuses, the dedicated professionals who lead these efforts need the advocacy, training, and support that NADOHE provides more than ever. To begin his tenure on the Board of Directors, Anderson will co-chair NADOHE’s Strategic Planning committee, and serve as a member on the Annual Conference, Advancement, and Global Engagement committees, respectively. “I have been steadfast in my commitment to ensuring that NADOHE supports the needs of every individual and institutional member to its fullest. The services and support that NADOE provides is next-level, and I am a proud beneficiary of the training and development of this organization. In whatever way I am asked to serve and support the membership, I am more than willing to do so.”

NADOHE’s mission is to serve as the leading voice for current and aspiring diversity leaders. The Organization was formed out of the Center for Advancement on Racial and Ethnic Equity (CAREE) at the American Council of Education. More information on NADOHE can be found here.
